SANJEET + BEN // SIKH TEMPLE OF NORTH TEXAS

SanjeetandBenSikhCeremony-660.jpg

This day was one of my favorites of 2017. Sanjeet and Ben chose to incorporate their individual cultures into their wedding day, honoring both with dual ceremonies in the same day. The morning started out at the Sikh Temple with the Baraat as both families and friends surrounded Ben as he made his processional on the most decadent and festive horse. The music and celebration definitely set the mood the rest of the day. The traditions continued with the Milni and the reading of the Lavans in the prayer room. It's so incredible to witness such rich cultures in their traditional wedding ceremonies especially as a photographer who gets to document it all.

SANJEET + BEN // AVALON LEGACY RANCH WEDDING

SANJEET + BEN

This was one of my last weddings of 2017 and I am so glad it was because it was one of the most exciting days to capture. Sanjeet and Ben chose to honor both sides of their culture, having dual ceremonies in one day. The morning was dedicated to a traditional Sikh ceremony at a temple in Dallas. The afternoon was a celebration of their union with a Christian ceremony and reception at Avalon Legacy Ranch. The wedding party was so much fun and though it was a very long day for everyone, they kept their spirits high throughout the night. Their vows to one another had me in tears as did the incredible speeches made by their loved ones. These two are truly loved and that was evident all around. These are some highlights of our afternoon and evening together.

JENNIFER + MASON // DEITY NYC WEDDING

JENNIFER + MASON

Jenn and Mason had the perfect winter wedding in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. Deity is one of the coolest venues I have shot at! It had the perfect vibe for their cozy little wedding. Congrats to this sweet couple!

COLOMBA + CHINO // WINTER LADY PAVILION ELOPEMENT

COLOMBA + CHINO

Colomba and Chino came all the way from South America along with some family and friends to elope in Central Park. Little did we all know New York would be hit with a snow storm just a couple of days prior. Their intimate ceremony was absolutely stunning with the backdrop of a snow covered city and an almost empty park. They were all smiles cuddling into each other the entire time-SO cute!! Super happy for these two!

SIENNA + JONATHAN // DUMBO BROOKLYN ENGAGEMENTS

SIENNA + JONATHAN

Theses guys are a dream- so stylish, modern, and super into each other. I had the best time running around NYC with them the other weekend for their engagements. And I have to say, I am way too pumped for their wedding in March. Love these people!

KENDAL // GRAPEVINE LAKE BRIDALS

KENDAL

This girl. I can't even begin to tell you how much this girl means to me. When Kendal asked me to be her bridesmaid for her New Years Day wedding, I was ecstatic! She and her now husband, Carlos, have been dating for 10 years and I've been lucky to know them for a good portion of those. Kendal and I played high school volleyball together and since then we have remained close. We have one of those friendships where we can go a long time without seeing each other, but when we do have the chance, it's as though nothing has changed between us. I still feel like my 16 year-old self when I see her!

I was more than willing to photograph her bridals a few days before her wedding. We ventured to Grapevine Lake one afternoon, wedding gown and all, and took some of the most beautiful images! My friend makes one STUNNING bride. I was a little nervous as this was my first time photographing a friend professionally, but to say we made the afternoon a good time would be an understatement.

Kendal, you are absolutely beautiful and I could not be more happy for you and Carlos! To the new Mrs. Neaves!
